Creditreform processes personal data to verify creditworthiness; the data made available in the information is not data requiring special protection and no high risk profiling takes place. The data is only made available to third parties if it is needed to close or implement a contract. In addition, it is only intended for the recipient. Furthermore, data is only disclosed about adults and does not date back for more than ten years.

Creditreform supplies the decision-making aids required to reach a decision on lending; the actual decision on lending is a matter for the recipient. If that decision is taken by the recipient by automated means, he must satisfy the relevant obligations under data protection law.
